Aloha! My name is Grace Cortez from Maui Hawaii. I just want to say thank you so much for being such an inspiration to all if us. It really moved me hearing your story. I guess i can say that i can relate because of my situation. I’ve been looking for something that will help me succeed to reach my goals of helping my family and my community in the Philippines where I’m from. I was very lucky that i had the opportunity to come here in US but unfortunately the rest of my family wasn’t so lucky. Just like you, my parents had sacrifice everything they got just so they could support us. Growing up, i watched my parents struggled a lot but they didn’t give up on us. One thing my parents have thought me is to never forget where I’m from and to always pay it forward. Being the only one here in Hawaii now,and the rest of my family is in the Philippines, my goal is to help each and everyone of them and help the people in my community especially the poor people. I cant wait to meet all of you so I can say thank you for inspiring all of us. I will see you all at the convention.
